Its on several news channels as well as on cricinfo. How could it have harmed the series? Rather if the evidence had been presented earlier, the case would have been closed long back without so much controversy. The controversy started only because a decision was made without sufficient evidence. So we can say that withholding this crucial piece of evidence actually resulted in so much drama.

Some observations:
1. ESPN star had an understanding with Channel 9 to receive all the video and audio feeds of the match. They did not receive this particular feed. Since it is all shared in real time (both telecasting live), channel 9 could not have known that this particular piece was going to become significant evidence in a controversial case. Why then ESPN did not get this feed?

2. Why would Channel 9 sin on this evidence for such a long time knowing the consequences fully well? They allowed a controversy to rise to such an extent where the series came under threat.

ESPN stop receiving the live stump microphone feed prior to the commencement of day 3 according to the report.

The incident between Symonds and Harbhajan took place after lunch on day 3 whilst Harbhajan was batting.
