| Langer is out for 46. |

| Langer out, LBW off Wiseman for 46. 93 for 1 For some reason, he was unhappy at the decision and showed some dissent - won't be surprised if he is fined. Can't see why he was aggrieved, appeared very near plumb on TV - Messrs Greig and Benaud agree.

| Its strange to see Australia go about things in such a slow manner.

| Completely Agree here, Australia finish on 135/2 at lunch, Ponting 24* and Martyn 4* leading by 459 runs, run rate of just 2.6 an over, really bizzarre this, I can't understand A) why Australia are still batting B) If they are looking to get 500 (or more perhaps) why have they been batting so slow....It's confusing actually these tactics. Coming to think of I have just thought of a very good reason for Ricky Ponting's declaration: Australia didn't want to bat last. And I can see why, the pitch is showing some inconsistent spin and drift, Warnie will enjoying bowling in these conditions, Wiseman and Vettori too have tied Australia up well in this second innings. Speaking of Warnie, Tony Greig was talking to him earlier in the morning, and he said Aus were aimimg to give their bowlers about 100-120 overs to win the test match...which means Aus might be batting on after tea perhaps...now that in my opinion would seriously be aiding NZ's last chances of saving this match, considering they will already be taking some releif out of the fact that there is a chance of showers, both today and tomorrow. |

| I've given up on the kiwis actually. I know that's pecimisstic but they just don't have the bowling capacity to deal with the attack of this intensity. Never mind, if anything it just highlights area we need to improve on.

| Thank God, Australia finally declare their innings at 139-2 That leaves NZ with an impossible target of 464 to chase, and goodness me, they've already lost a wicket, Mathew Sinclair trapped infront by Dizzy for just 2. So anyone betting on this ending today? Last edited by Zainub : 29-11-2004 at 09:29 AM. |
