What is this received wisdom - do share it with us.

I was definitely not talking about a slump, but in the last few innings he has played he has looked scratchy and not quite the great Tendulkar who has entertained everyone for the past 15 years. Yes there was an injury that kept him out for a while but that is all the more reason people want to see Sachin play at his best again. So yes he was overdue a big innings.

Sensational figures from Pathan again.. especially when you consider the people he got out: both openers, the no 4 and the nos 7 and 8 in the first innings.. then an opener.. plus 3, 4, 5, 6 in the second inngs - no tail end bunnies!

First innings: 16 5 45 5

2nd innings: 12 5 31 5

Match figures of 10 / 86 off 28 overs ain't bad even against Bangladesh!

ps. Khan - no slouch - managed 15 2 51 2 and 11 2 48 0: that's just 2 / 99 off almost as many overs!

It's all about swinging the ball in the air. Most batsmen find it very difficult these days to play the swinging balls, since hardly any fast bowlers achieve any movement in the air. No wonder Pathan is reaping his rewards, even though agaist the poor B'desh batsmen.

PS : So many boards, I'm getting very confused here.

No nor I neither Crcinfo is wrong. CricInfo published the official capacity. 36,000 people can watch match by sitting in the stadium with some gaps. But actually double numbers of people came to watch the match. Many people enjoy the match by standing from the back site of gallery. You can watch it by TV cameras.

Ashraful scored 158 not out. That's great.

He also started second innings nicely but a wrong decision by the umpire ends his innings. But anyways, as it is a parts of sports, Ashraful has a bad luck on the 2nd innings.

But our batting was not good. Excluding Ashraful, all of our batsmen fails.
So again the COLLUPSE at top order.

The test matches are playing at Bangabandhu Stadium, Dhaka and M.A. Aziz Stadium, Chittagong.
Most probably no more cricket match will be played at M.A. Aziz Stadium in the future because it will be handed over to Bangladesh Football Federation very soon. But there is a new stadium already ready to hold cricket matches. It is Chittagong Divisional Stadium. Hope you will able to see it from the series against Zimbabwe. The stadium already got ICC's green signal to hold International matches.

But new stadium at Mirpur, Dhaka is not complete yet and will take some more time, So Bangabandhu Stadium will hold some matches against Zimbabwe.

So..Onedayers start from tomorrow.

I am so looking forward to seeing Dhoni. It is said that he is big shot player like Sehwag. If he can deliver anything even close to him then Indian would definitly solve the problem of a WicketKeeper batsman.

I was quite looking forward to Dhoni's performance as well but he was run out 1st ball. Not a very auspicious start for the youngster.

I cannot comment on his keeping though as I am not watching the game. Anybody else can give us an insight?

Yep..we will have to wait for one more game to see his batting. Joginder bowler very well except for his last over.
