Bangladesh v India Dec 9-27

Please, add your thoughts about the two-Test and three-one-day series to this thread. A frank exchange of views is welcome as long as those views aren't trite and designed to irritate - that they are backed up with reasoned argument and/or facts.

Your guess is as good as mine Shalini. There is some discussion on the security issue here, look forward to your thoughts there.

Thanks! I will visit the thread now.

It seems the tour is on and the first match starts a day later now on 10 Dec.

Looking forward to a good series and I do hope Bangladesh put up a fight and make the games interesting.

Yep, great news all around.

Bdmoderator, would you like to tell us something about the two stadiums where the match is being played? What are the grounds and the pitches like, who plays at these stadiums (which domestic teams), how many people do they hold, how many people come for the matches, etc? Also what were the most memorable games there in your memory.

Speaking for myself, my knowledge of Bangladeshi cricket, and its infrastructure etc, is sadly lacking, many others probably think the same, and it would be great if you can fill the gaps!

Hello Maranello, I am trying to answer your questions.

Bangabandhu Stadium, Dhaka:
In this stadium about 1,00,000 people can watch match at once. In ODIs, stadium always filled with supporters. Some can not able to enter because of lacking of tickets. But in Test matches, about 20,000-30,000 people gathered to support their team everyday. This is the home ground of DHAKA DIVISION.

M.A. Aziz Stadium, Chittagong:
In this stadium about 70,000 people can watch match at once. In ODIs, stadium always filled with supporters. Some can not able to enter because of lacking of tickets. People of Chittagong is more crazy about cricket then Dhaka. But in Test matches, about 30,000-40,000 people gathered to support their team. This is the home groun of CHITTAGONG DIVISION.

All Bangladesh matches are memorable to me.

These are huge stadiums, BDM! We have nothing in England which even gets close to those numbers. I think Lord's can hold about 20,000 or so.

Actually we have only one stadium before, so large stadium was built.

Anyways, security became very important in this tour. So I post some pictures about security in the following topic.
