Do you have a source for that Arsalan660? Not on the BBC website yet. You could have a worldwide scoop!

Still nothing on the web sites to confirm that, A660. We know his father in law has been injured and is in hospital, but Trescothick has not made his mind up whether to leave Pakistan yet and, as far as I have seen, it may be Saturday before he decides. That is also listed as the day that Michael Vaughan will be ruled in or out of the second test. I don't know if the two are connected - I hope not in some ways - but they may be.

If England were on top I guess Tresco would already be on a plane.... gets a tad more complicated when the decision has to be made with the team already in a hole... and worse again when you're pretty well the only bat looking 100% worth your place!

I wonder a bit what is going on here. If Tresco's father-in-law was in dire straits, Tresco would have gone already. The fact that he's still in Pakistan to some extent suggests that the matter may not be as serious as it first sounded and, barring really bad news in the coming 48 hours (which none of us wants to hear), I think he'll stay on.

Family is more important than cricket, even if we were losing the ashes 4-0 with the oval left in Aus. ofcourse Tresco should still go home and be with him. Although if he is stable etc. he may stay.

Pick him anyway, bat second and get Tresco in for the second innings on 4th or 5th day.... He'll do better than what Collingwood will give us anyway!!

Nice idea but I'm sure Tresco would be in no hurry to return really.
