| The Aussies are full of it! It seems Gilchrist has stuck to his guns so far, good on him, that's fair enough. But he has a go at players, like Vaughan and McMillan, quite obviously and publicly, but not his own, e.g. Martyn and Hayden! Maybe his policy on walking will wear off conveniently this summer, until one of the England players fail to walk and we win the Ashes, then he'll find a high horse. It's one rule for one, and another for another in the head of Gilly! Before you walk or not, show Gilly your passport so he can prepare a speech! Also, if my above link is true and Gilchrist did erractically appeal for his own LBW, and he did shout catch it when Ponting skied one against NZ, he should be chucked out of the team!

| I think you are correct in saying that the link I posted is a hoax. Ooops, I've been had! But the way people build up the Aussie saviour of cricket, Adam, on this forum, I'm starting to believe such stuff!

| I think that this thread has been a pretty reasoned discussion, other than the tongue in cheek link posted by yourself...with several questioning whether its in the best interests of the game or Gilchrist's own team and the responses being debated on their merits rather than a specific opinion of Gilchrist. One or two posts got me questioning my own position on the matter (interests of individual V team V sport). Now if I can just find that link with Our Saviour Adam walking on water... |
