Not quite. Look at the finer print.

Warnie comes from a country where all the kids grew up wanting to be the next Dennis Lillee. There was no interest in spin bowling. Warne took that art and in my mind has made it his own.

There is no doubt that Murali has done great deeds for test cricket and for Sri Lanka...but i just think Warnie is a little better.

May stem from bias but ask one of the many Englishmen and women on this board their thoughts

That just proves that Warne is a great bowler... it doesn't support his claim to be better than Murali

Oh yeah... those who think murali Chucks...

Murali's no chucker, says Warne

Yep it's about time.

It shows that Murali is greater bowler than Warne any day. Even after all the conterversy and all the hard times he had to deal with, his preformance hasn't been affected. Bottom line is he will end up with highest number of test wickets in world when he finally hangs up his boots.

Well I will tell you all that Murai and Warne are both great bowlers, and predicting the worth of either againsts the other is so hard.

No one knows which one will end up with most wickets, because they are different types of bowlers, so differenf factors come into play, mainly the conditions for bowling in.

Any day???

If im not mistaken Warne took more wickets in Sri Lanka than Muralitharan. Long live the king.

However, Murali and Warne are great bowlers in their own right, I don't think you can say Murali is a greater bowler than Warne any day.

That only means that Shane Warne is doing an admirable job at rebuilding what ever bad blood he might have had with the Sri Lankan public over the years, what ever he's been doing for the Tsunami relief effort is a very admirable thing, I mean he's gone over to Sri Lanka, how many other cricketers or sportsmen for that matter have done that? I must admit that I really am pleased he is so comitted to this cause. And for once think this not the time to start who is better Murali or Warne debate when the two of them are working together to help those in desperate need.

Just beacsue he got more wickets in Sri Lanka taht doesn't really prove anything.

I do agree with Zainub, I do admire Warne for going down there to lend a hand.

No it doesn't.

I mean they're both bloody good bowlers. Some day you will get Warne and others you will get Murali. But in Murali's trips to Australia the only one I recall him playing extremely well in was when he took 4-24 in Brisbane (the night Darren Lehmann landed himself in some hot water after a racist comment).

Warnie's art is harder to perfect than off spin however. But by gee, when on song, I don't think one batsman in this world could competently play Murali.

I agree with that both bowlers are world class, but dis-agree with that what Warne does is harder than to learning what Murali does.
