Ey Deevs i just found out Ibba copped a one match ban for saying this about Murali in the Bulawayo test.

"That was the first legal delivery he bowled - that's my personal opinion."
Dion Ebrahim reacts to the orthodox legbreak he received from Muttiah Muralitharan on the first day at Bulawayo. He was handed a one-Test ban for his observation

Lol, seeing as the tests vs. Australia and England were cancelled, he is sitting it out now. Cant understand MV's non selection however, he is the only one in the side on the wrong side of 20

I'll join the call for Bangladesh to make a maiden victory in this test. However, I see that Zimbabwe have staged a big recovery today, starting on 84-4 and closing on 308-8, still 180 behind but avoiding the follow on. Three days gone now: a draw must now be more likely.

"El Capitan" saves the day

This is the second time that our captain has helped us so dramatically. Our 21 year old maestro was robbed of a century when out for 91. Hopefully Nkala can whack around a 50 and Hondo can slog the ball silly to get us closer.

All i can say is out, Vusimuzi Sibanda, in Mark Vermuelen, and out Hamilton Masakadza/ Barney Rogers in Dion Ebrahim

Does any one know why Brendon Taylor didn't open the innings - I think that lad has some talent.

I really loved the spirit shown by the guys.I was really proud of them. They were not bogged down by the total set by the B'deshis.I see this test heading for a draw. They did a very good job esp.in the seesion before lunch.Go Zimbabwe!
psst...Paoli,why do u wanna send out Rogers?I havent seen much of him,but what i saw of him wasn't that bad.

Why Rogers? Because Dion is better. His patience impressed me, but we need Mark and Dion back in the side. Gee it'd help if we had these players, whom we had 9 months ago in the middle order: G. Flower, Carlisle, Wishart--what rocks!!

Taylor should open the innings with Vermuelen in my mind. Vermuelen has slipped to 3, 4, 5 because of his importance, a bit like Youhana batting at 5 for Pakistan.

Matsikenyeri should open in the ODI's, but at test level he needs to bat at 5.

Vermuelen, Taylor, Rogers, Ebrahim, Matsikenyeri, Masakadza, Chigumbura, Taibu, Utseya/Cremer, Panyangara/Hondo
