| Sidestepping the question entirely (with apologies to Bevo), does anyone know why this test match is sceheduled for six days? In all the years I have been watching and listening to cricket, which is somewhere between 25 and 30, test matches have always been five days as far as I can recall. And in recent years, the vast majority that I have paid attention to have been wrapped up inside the distance. So - why a six day game this time around? If it's money, will anyone really be shelling out for advance tickets for day six?

| No idea on when and how but I beleive tickets will be, and I'm quoting malcom speed from the ICC (i think !) "...the price of the tickets will be a third (or was it a quarter ?) of the cost of the rugby world cup final tickets." What ever that was. I'm glad I've cleared that up for everyone !

| Well back to the original question, this will take some thought, but my world XI will roughly look like this: Sehwag Fleming (c) Dravid Lara Kallis Sangakkara (w) Flintoff Akhtar Vettori Harmison Muralitharan No Tendulkar i'm afraid, he still hasn't fully recovered into top gear. Fleming's inclusion is more because of captaincy, and also that there is a kiwi on the selectors board. Inzamam is the unlucky one.

| Six day test is becase they want a result. With no disrespect to Bevo, there are seriously SO many threads for this. Maybe a merger would be a good idea but anyway here goes mine. Stephen Fleming Andrew Strauss Brian Lara Sachin Tendulkar Rahul Dravid Jacques Kallis Kumar Sangakkara Shaun Pollock Muttiah Muralitharan Stephen Harmison Shane Bond My squad has varied from thread to thread as my gut feeling changes. Sehwag is the unlucky one here with the spot going to Steve Fleming and Shoaib's attitude has got me once and for all. If there is another bowler like McGrath in the world (capable of troubling batsmen at an average pace) it is Pollock. Tendulkar will always be in a World XI. Also Bevo, you have Australia's reserve batsmen as Katich, Maher, and M. Hussey. Katich is right, but i believe it is D. Hussey and Hodge next. |

| if there was some back ups for the test mike hussey and jimmy maher would be on my list , dont think the selectors would go with jimmy maher but hussey would be a good back up player ,hussey and maher would make it in any national team , just not australia , even on that matter half of the Australia A team would make it anywhere , obviously brad Haddin would be a back up keeper , but i like the looks of Ryan Campbell getting back into some form but not enough to crack into the section of "reserve keeper".i considered hodge for the reserve , but he would most likely make it on the ashes tour anyways

| Another one. Ponting will score 200 and win the Man of the Match award. Batting is there but bowling isn't. For the world xi. |
