Nothing NE, absolutely nothing...Another garbage performance from a side with very little going for them at the moment...At this rate the Yanks stand a chance of knocking them off in WC 2007....

Also, why oh why are both BRM Taylor and Elton Chigumbura playing when they aren't named in the test squad. I mean, how hard is it for ZC to just add those two names and cancel the others. A dumb breed....

Could be the pitch, or the weather or a flock of subversive birds clutching mirrors reflecting the sun into the eyes of the batsmen.....

Streak has been unlucky several times and seeing him bowl with Mpofu is painful. You have a guy who in all honesty wouldn't be a certainty for my schools Second XI, and is opening the bowling alongside one of the games greats....Doesnt make sense...In the old days, he had Blignaut (who is here), Friend who had pace, Ervine who had swing and good slower ball, Hondo who isnt bad and Ray Price.....These days he ll have to settle for Mpofu and Panyangara, with Utseya bowling a bit of spin.

I don't understand why people think this guy is good. He's rubbish. He can bowl fast at times but hasn't a clue where he's putting it and can hit a ball a long way but rarely does it (bit of a Murali but slightly better).

And he's got a bit of tap from Smith and DeVilliers too !

Blignaut I reckon has got a bit of talent, but in terms of application and consistency, he's let himself and his fans down.
But considering the situation Zimbabwe are in any of the rebels coming back is a big, big step forward for them...some of the other kids they've picked up to give them test caps ...they're simply not even half as good enough ...Paoli couldn't have been more true about that guy Mpofu, Chirstopher Mpofu, I'm really starting to feel sorry for him now more then anything else

Zimbabwe Cricket athourities I'm afraid have dug them selves up a big hole, and now they must get out of it them selves

I don't disagree with you, NE. Blignaut wouldn't be challenging to get in any international team other than Zimbo or Bangla - all I said was that he should make a big difference, because compared to the majority of Zimbabwe players, he's a decent player.

Seriously though, did anyone expect the Zimbabweans to be doing this badly? I didn't expect them to be winning the match, but what a terrible performance on a pretty good wicket!! Former Zimbabwean stalwart Dave Houghton is saying on Cricinfo that it's time for Zimbabwe to willingly resign from the test championship. This sort of performance does no one any favours - the Zimbabwe fans must be gutted, it will be a fairly hollow victory for the Saffers if they win and the confidence of the Zimbo youngsters will be shot to pieces!!!
