Nice going Zim. Was very entertaining to watch. Some good batting by Blignaut and Streak. Serves the fitness coach right! Having to come on and field. The guys can't have been that fit if they got injured so easily, and it's his job to see that they are

269 all out Zimbabwe...Good effort, 0-13 South Africa. Streak made 85, shows he is a very competent all rounder

When he came to England, Zainub, he looked ok, but nothing special. Although he only played in one test against England, nothing I saw would mark him out as the long term future of South African cricket and I doubt that a good performance in a test versus Zimbabwe can really be used as a benchmark for his ability. Obviously, he may continue to improve and develop, but I expect him to struggle against stronger sides.

Well thats what I thought to...But at least Zondeki will come out with greater confidence, knowing that he can get batsmen out when they have made starts and is a decent bowler...PS AM, in England he made a lovely 58 with a shonky back which disabled him from bowling I believe

You are only too true Paoli. From the amount of bowling he did, my comments still stand, though as you rightly say, his well applied 58 held up and embarrassed England. I remember being very frustrated at the time!

Pretty dissapointed with the 2nd innings performance of the zimbabweans but i did find some positives...like Cremer (he was thrashed but did manage some decent wickets),Chigumbura (hes got some talent),Streak's consistent performances and ofcourse Andy Blignaut's batting heroics. However,i find that most of the guys lack the right temperament for test cricket.For,example,Mpofu...why oh why is he in the squad?

Good to see you back and posting, and with a brilliant start..Mpofu shouldn't be in the squad, not ODI, not Test, not ever....He isn't good enough, as you said....Maregwede isn't any good, however Cremer is....He's eco rate was better........

Now, Ed Rainsford and Tawanda Mupariwa always perform well when in the team...Trouble is, their only given like one or two shots at the most...I say chuck those kids in, give them a Heath Streak or a Gary Brent (lets hope he'll return, for experience if nothing else) and also, where the hell was Doug Hondo!!! He had a great tour of Bangla, our best bowler by far!!!

I couldnt agree more Paoli! My bro was asking about Hondo as well cuz he thinks that Mpofu guy is useless as well. But one thing that STUNNED me completely was really SHODDY fielding.HUH!So many missed chances. As it is,the team is no world beater.
