When Australia need a wicket most, who do they call on for? Shane Warne and he has duly obliged.

He now has one of his bunnies in world cricket- Craig Mcmillan at the crease...should be an interesting contest as Mcmillan does like to attack the spinners in his unorthodox way.

Its nice to see the Aussies not getting it their own way for once.
Evening Chuck,
Bit of a lad this Marshall, he is showing the way, I hope the England lads are watching, this would seem how it should be done.

Yes Ern, these New Zealand batsman, particularly Marshall are showing that these Aussies are not super human and they can be got at like any other international bowling attack.
Although I haven't been watching the game, it seems that the NZ batsman are playing it patiently and wearing down the Aussie bowlers...and it has been working so far but they can't afford to be complacent because Australia can take 3 or 4 quick wickets at any time.

But this has to be a positive for England.

Marshall gone, but New Zealand seem to be getting their heads down, and grafting.

Marshall can console with Mike Gatting and a few others after copping an unplayable Warnie super legbreak that snuck between a small gap between his legs and bowled him.

Katich and Gilchrist rescue Australia; 6/341, Katich nearing 100. Does anyone still have doubts about Katich???

Don't know but Australia seem to have a magic spade to dig themselves out of holes they get into, a mixture of good batting, and the New Zealand bowlers letting them of the hook.

All to play for.

It's no secret. When you have Gilchrist coming to bat at number 7, there is no need to be afraid. How many times has Gilchrist got the Aussies out of the hole. He's unbelievable. The best allrounder in world cricket.

Best "all rounder"??? Term is used loosely..Is an all rounder a batsman and bowler, or bat/keeper...If it is both Gilly sweeps the field....122 off 126, back to back centuries for Gilly

To many, and too many Aussie top order players living in comfort zones.
(Mathew Hayden) in particular.
