Realistically Rachael all four resulrs are possible, a draw, a tie, and a win for either side. India look better for a win at this stage I admit. But one good session tomorrow and I'm sure Ganguly will panic. If we lose early wickets, then it will be tough, but I'm confident we can get a draw even if a win becomes impossible, we drew it in Mohali after all, we can do it here as well, suddenly, I think I'm quite confident about the whole sitution. Feels nice for a change not being just plain simple optimisitc, but with some thought and fact to back the hope too.

pakistan 178/4
kamal and youhana there
just 4 runs in 6 overs after lunch so they are not going for the target but that has brought more fielders close to the bat
so its clear we are going for a draw now
they should have just tried at 3 runs an over till tea time and that would have put indians under pressure

Run rate has dropped dramatically as workkey said, but I'd like to have seen them go for the win, which is unfortunate....Youhana needs to be there obviously...Another Afridi, anyone???

we have paid the price for this approach
loosing 2 wickets and the pressure is mounting...indians are not worrying about the runs now .indians know now that they cant loose it from here so they are trying everything..kamran now here and 6 fielders around the bat and about 30000 people in the background appealing

Youhana and Razzaq, as well as Pakistan, are almost gone...Huge rescue mission needed...I'm sure Pakistan would be happy if no more runs were scored...

And so it is...Kumble, the humble hero, again spins India to victory, taking 7-63....Asim Kamal was again resolute, but it wasn't enough...Cricinfo Match Report here

Good result. There are quite a few things to be desired though. Pathan looked pretty ordinary with the ball. He needs to pull his socks up. Looks like Ganguly's playing days are numbered. Hardly bats well enough. He's a liability. Kaif might well get the chance he deserves.

Good weekend all in all. We defeated the BS in EPL and now have a chance of getting the fourth spot.

Harbahjan has been reported for a suspect action again. Apparently his doosra action was ok in the first innings, but had changed when he'd bowled in the next.

Hmm That's one news I'd be keeping an eye for Pete. Thanks for the link. Also interesting that Chris Board specifically mentioned that he and the umpires thought he changed his action some what in the second innings (meaning they didn't have a problem with his doosra in the first) - I didn't notice anything my self but then who am I to comment! I can't rembeber any of the commentators mention anything either, may be they said something when I was not away going to get pop corns, pray or answe nature's call!

But all sounds a little queer, why would Harbajjan change his action (for bowling a doosra) mid-way through a match. Just strange.

Anyway, India would be hoping this isn't the start of something serious, Harbajjan is an important bowler for them after all, not only at present but more importantly for the future, Anil Kumble after all, is not going to be around forever.
