Good timing, John! Just in time to see de Villiers on his way! The SA run rate is certainly roaring away though - 4.65 per over as against about 3.3 for the West Indies. Should be a pretty reasonable score I would think.

WI fighting back 86/2. The big man Kallis is in. Four first ball.
Rudolph is the man out you wonder how long his got left in the team.
Smith and Kallis have got to have a signifcant partnership here 50 +.

Why is Herschelle Gibbs so far down the order, John? I thought he was a stock opener.

From what I have heard it was Gibbs decision. As long as he gets lots of runs I am not bothered.
A dull patch of play the sides are jostling for the advantage. Not for people who prefer the oneday game. I don't mind it read the paper and keep one eye on the game.

Twist in the tale. Kallis out last over the day.
Still I think just about SA day certainly SA session the last.
This series looks as though it might even be better than the recent SA vs England.
Like all good series the next session looks like the vital one.

A hundred for Smith. Not the most talented batsmen but one of the most battling.
Zondeki has done his job as a nightwatchman and more. Out for 14.
223/4 still in the balance but so far SA morning.

Lunch SA session. Will they be able to take advantage of the oppotunity they have created this morning? Watch this space.

Smith out for 148 hopefully enough to get SA a draw at least.
Prince has just come in playing and missing.
Hardly exciting reading a book about Andy Warhol.
