| Best match analysis by any South African in Test cricket by Ntini there. |

| Good effort by Ntini - 7-37 in the innings, 13-132 in the match. WI have set South Africa 144 to win, with about five hours to do it. Can't see anything other than a South Africa victory coming from this now. West Indies will be very disappointed with the collapse of their second innings, five wickets going for just 24 runs in an hour this morning.

| All out for 194 with SA needing 144 of 75 overs on a crap pitch. Should be easy but SA have thrown away matches before.

| Looks like the South Africans have a lunch appointment somewhere! 27-0 off 2.3 overs!

| 45/0 off ten overs at lunch , that's a 100 runs to go with all 10 standing game over !!!!! SA should win this 9.7 out of 10 times ! |

| Just got in good to see SA on the way to a win. |

| A little oddity here. At tea, South Africa require 14 more runs to win with eight wickets standing. The umpires apparently offered the players an extra thirty minutes, but they declined and they are therefore taking tea. Now, to me it seems sensible that extra time will have been offered - I can't really see why it wasn't taken, as this will surely all be over in less than 20 minutes after tea - but can anyone tell me under what Law or Regulation the extra time was offered? I was just looking at the Regulations, and they provide for tea to be delayed if nine wickets are down at the scheduled time for tea, but I can't see that they provide for tea to be delayed in the circumstances which now apply - i.e. not many wickets down and not far to go. Anyone know what David Shepherd had in mind? Perhaps just the chance for an extra big piece of cake if he could delay it until the match was over? Or, more likely, he knows the regulations better than I do. Any help gratefully received.

| Well, there it goes! South Africa win by 8 wickets. Second great match in this series, could have gone either way at the beginning of the day, but my money would have been on the draw if I'd had any to invest! West Indies will be hugely disappointed to have lost this one, basically with a disastrous morning session on the fifth day. Congratulations to South Africa. Next test match is in Barbados on 21 April, the birthday of Her Majesty The Queen, and I wish I was going to be there (Bridgetown, not Buckingham Palace).
