Yes the match was closer than 8 wickets. At various points WI could of put a lot of pressure on SA. It shows SA lacked a bit they had to grind a result out. They really had to work themselves into a good position never dominating.
But thats where we are at.

Wonderful bowling by Makkie. I'm so glad the Saffies have now shown they can get wickets against other teams and win test matches. A lot of people seem to think we can only win against teams like Zim these days. We are fast becoming a winning unit as the newness wears off the younger players. Great win

Ntini just showed how he is one of the best bowlers in the world, over shawdowed by Pollock before but now he can shine as SA's best bowler!! I'm pleased for him.. surely man of the match??
