It is, of course, absolutely true that without ANY following... professional cricket would be nothing like it is today.. and those who wanted to play might, on the whole, find themselves doing so as amateurs.. but that's merely the fate of those in any number of minority sports that have never really captured the popular imagination - those sports are none the worse for that.

Yes but if an author takes 500 pages to express what can be done in a couple of paragraphs as many books have done you can't blame the reader for putting the book down. After all thats why editors exsit.
If a team has 10 wickets and 50 runs to get and takes 6 hours people will go home.
Nel rightly man of the match.
