Westindies 60/3 at lunch. Lara and Chanderpaul steady the ship.

| Unbelievable that the BBC's "live" scorecard hasn't been updated in 30 minutes after lunch. I also can't get onto Cricinfo at the moment. Latest I can find is on Sky's website - 74-3 - but that hasn't changed in ages either.

The brilliant Lara again. How can anyone think he is one of the greatest batsmen ever. Certainly in the top three of the last twenty years. But with 4 wickets down at tea it looks like it could be SA day unless the WI have a good last session.

Brian putting the SA bowlers to the sword. Attacking the new ball as only genius could. 171 not out smashing the new ball. A mistake to take it.

Lara out for 176. I know there have been a lot of great innings in last few years well this is up their with the best of them. But believe it or not it is SA day 292-7. WI will have to bowl well to save the blushes of their batsmen (exception Lara).

That is why I liked the 1st test. For once, the Windies DIDN'T rely on Lara, instead it was double centuries from Chanderpaul and Hinds which saved them. Could they have resisted Lara???? Maybe not, but one man who needs a nice spell from international cricket is Chris Gayle. He should go and get some runs for Jamaica and maybe return against Pakistan.
