Absolutely: Johnty Rhodes did take extra-ordinary catches but he was sensational from the moment the bowler turned to start running in until the ball went dead. His quiet advance was menacing, his anticipation and movement seemed to almost precede the ball hitting the bat, his stops were great, his throws were awesome and his backing up and giving chase were exemplary.
Priorities clearly change depending on where you field (makes a big difference if you're filling Ian Botham's shoes in the slips or Chris Lewis' at midwicket)... but to be honest a safe pair of hands is just a minimum pre-requisite that stacks of fielders can offer: movement, anticipation, pace across the turf, judgement, agility, strength of throwing arm, speed of ball release and accuracy when aiming at a single stump are all important!
