As I recall, Graham Napier did pretty well against those same teams. Can't see him getting an England call up any time soon!!

If my memory serves me correctly only Pietersen, Napier and Prior got any runs. That would seem to suggest that they all played the spin bowlers relatively well. And KP got hundreds as opposed to the fifties the other two were getting.

What's happened with Napier this season?

Napier's been injured - and boy, could Essex do with him. He's back playing for the seconds today. Napes did surprisingly well in the subcontinent. He probably could have done better, but he was left with the tail to bat will and as a result got very little support. His bowling didn't get many rewards and I think he was underused.

I was surprised he wasn't even mentioned for the last A Tour and he didn't get to play too much in the Hong Kong Sixes.

Blimey! Now there's a site... Obviously the sign of a man who's had too much time on his hands of late!! Looks a pretty professional job though.

To be honest despite the fact that we are supposed to have a long hot spell i would be extremely annoyed if we didn't produce 5 green tops to nullify any advantage Australia have by having 2 quality spinners.I would prefer backing ourselves on seamer friendly wickets and if their pace trio do better than our quartet then so be it.

I'd like to see Australia playing both Warne and Macgill. It would probably mean either Dizzy or Kasper isn't cutting it and has been dropped. Even though it should be a dry summer, I don't think the wickets will warrant playing two specialist spinners. There might be some mileage for an occasional guy like Vaughan. What price a repeat of that delivery to Tendulkar, and the celebration that followed! But two specialist spinners is very rare in England unless it's a team from the subcontinent.

A week ago I would have agreed with you Greg, but our Seamers up to now, have shown they can bowl on any wicket, well results speak for themselves.
