Now England are playing really badly. This is not going to work against the Aussies. Misfields, over throws, no balls, dropped catches. FFS, you are throwing in the towel, lads.

You forgot batting collapses. England are making this too easy for the Aussies. They better bat to the potential we have seen in the last 18 months when the second innings comes along

It really is shocking, Giles shouldn't have been taken off ages ago. Fair enough that Bell was brought on but not giving him cover at deep cover? Vaughan is keeping his field in but the ball is doing nothing, the Aussies now realise that and are starting to turn the heat up. It really is looking like the old days at the moment, very disappointing.

They need to try something different, round the wicket, slow balls, yorkers, anything.

Come on Flintoff and Harmison, cometh the hour...

Hope not mate, I am meant to be out there tomorrow - though I'd have preferred to see more of a contest!

i'm gutted, it just makes no sense, i know the australians and some of the more negative england fans think this is perfectly normal but i don't believe it is, we ARE a better side than this, but our bowlers haven't really been up for it for the entire innings, I thought we were made of sterner stuff but it seems one spark of genius by mcgrath and we've given up completely :/

I don't even think australia are playing that well, it's not like they're knocking us out of the game by hitting good balls and us having no luck with the umpires, we're not bowling anything near them and when we do it's a crap ball and gets what it deserves, any side would be able to score like this against the bowling we're producing.

It's only day two, yes we got bowled out for 155 which is a big dissapointment, but so what? it was only 35 behind which is nothing considering we'd have expected australian to be 350 all out even if we bowled well. We were still well in the game, so where's the fire gone? where has the flintoff that almost tore gilchrists head off gone? he's just given away 16 runs that over looking like he really can't be arsed to be there.

There's no shame being beaten by the australians, but don't give it to them, not when they're haven't really played any better than us overall, i'm mystified.

More chance of space monkeys flying out my **** Seamer. As a rule our bowlers have won matches for us, but they have shown up today. Against most teams you can get away with it (mind this sort of crap would have been put away by most sides) but against the like of Martyn it will be all over.

Clarke has really taken it to the bowlers. Glorious form he's in and the drop just enhanced his confidence. He's a touch player and when he gets in mood, it's difficult to stop him. Flintoff seems to have lost his radar completely. Time to pull up the socks, else this match will be over tomorrow.

I don't think that is in much doubt anyway, weather permitting.
