hehe i'm great at this cricket stuff, bring on lee and he goes for loads of easy runs and gives away an easy run out, this would definatly explain why i never gamble oh well, i never claimed to know what i was talking about, i just like talking!

Poor captaincy by Ponting. If i was a tailender i'd prefer to face Lee than Warne.Yes Lee might hit you but you can have a swing and get runs.In a low scoring game every run is vital.

well, granted i don't have a clue what i'm talking about as shown by my ideas and predictions so far, but i posted in the other thread when Bell came in that i thought he was doing well and didn't look at all phased despite the fact he was in at 8-2 and he played a couple of really nice shots, but then the one where he needed to be tight in defence he left a gaping hole and was out, that's why i singled him out as being the most dissapointing as i expected inability from the rest.

right then, anyone else think we should open the batting with harmison and pieterson?

seeing this just makes me more annoyed at pieterson for going for an unnecessary six, he could have got to 80+ if he'd just batted a bit more sensibly.

152 -9 HA ! And I thought we were the only side who couldnt clear up a tail. If I was an aussie I'd be very very ********** off.

35 behind, England would have taken that happily after losing the toss.

Plenty of cloud cover, so batting should not be easy, especially against the new ball.

hey, against any other team in the world, or even this australia team without warne and mcgrath i believe we can win and win well, but those two have some kind of magic hex over our batsmen and turn them into schoolboys who have just asked their coach which end of the bat are they meant to be holding.

I'm convinced there is some kind of witchcraft or a hypnotist involved, I hope to see some pictures in the daily mail or the sun showing paul mckenna accepting a brown envelope off mcgrath as he wanders by the england dressing room...

well, 155 all out, in fairness that's not a bad result when you consider we were 21 for 5 and 101 for 8, the team from our last ashes series would have been all out for under 50, even with the mighty thorpe. Then again, we also wouldn't have bowled australia out for 190, they'd have got 300+

At 25-5 I'd have taken some ones arm off for 100ao. Good fight back but you cant help but feel the Aussies missed a trick.

Quick kneejerk here, how would a pre-SA Anderson have faired in these conditions ? And will Hoggy play in t he next test. I think he will but not sure if he should.
