It would be nice to have balls out of 6 on target. There only harmison bowling with any sort of discipline (unless its all totally harmless stuff and too short .......I really MUST get a telly in here). Is it time for Gilo ?

just remembered, if anyone's at the ground reading this through a pda, can you shout and tell flintoff someone's put a blob of brown paint on the back of his head for a laugh, dressing room humour eh!

good over from him though, could have hayden out there, need more of that, wind seems to have been taken out of our sails a bit though, probably because the bowlers feel no matter how well they bowl our batsmen will **** it up for them so what's the point. Hopefully not as we're capable of turning it around too, our batsmen just need to remember how they got their 40+ averages in the first place and adjust accordingly, just like hayden is now doing.

To right Leafy. This wicket is not too bad. There is smoe variablre bounce, but it is the conditions if anything that are assisting the bowlers. It is important to take wickets before the ball gets too old though because after about 30 or so overs, it seems to be doing less both inthe air and off the pitch. And Giles is no Warne. If the Aussies get to tea without too many wickets falling then England might be in trouble.

Against bowlers who weren't called McGrath?

yay! freddy as usual coming up with the much needed breakthrough, especially pleased as hayden was looking set and i wondered if we'd keep our patience. Bit of a lucky bowled but he'd been getting closer to him.

Pete, i know what you're saying, and i do think that the display from mcgrath yesterday was just one of those stunning things that happens in cricket from time to time rather than necessarily all englands fault, but he can only bowl for so long and he can't always get assistance from the pitch, pieterson showed there was a way to negate his advantage even if it was only slightly.

He no longer warrants his selection. His very long purple patch of three years (I'll except it was a period of very good form) has now ended. He is so arrogant that he does not recognise that he has to change the way he bats and knuckle down to scoring runs (instead of playing as if he is hitting a football).

A bit of time carrying the drinks should make him realise.
