Australia need Marytn to dig in because out of form Clarke has arrived.
England need to bowl better too.

Overcast conditions today... too much short pitch bowling.

If they're going to pitch it short, they've got to hit the batsmen, otherwise they should pitch it up and watch it swing.

Well done Hoggard. Wicket with a bad ball. Now go and stand out in the deep... you're a waste of space.
Short of a length and outside off in English conditions. Call yourself a swing bowler... my ar5e!

Agree with richie, it's not so much pessism, it's annoyance at knowing we can do far better than this but aren't.

Still think this pitch is awful, we're making it look ok because we're not bowling on it correctly, no side should be getting more than 150 on it and then only by swinging for it and being lucky.

Giles yet to bowl an over in this Test.

What a useless selection of a fairly mediocre cricketer! Does he get to play only because his antics are the funniest?

Sort of the court jester, for King Michael.

Yes, still the same problem. Clarke is now getting his eye in, as again we're feeding him on his legs. I just dont understand why we cant bowl on the off side. These 2 are huge on-side players so we should be outside off or bouncing them with the occasional straight one.

Giles on now, on an overcast seaming pitch - blimey.

Ahaaa.

Cometh the hour, and England haven't got a decent spinner.

I wonder if any of the Australian batsmen will fall for Flintoff's "mind the winders" jest?
