The common line of thought was that you win the toss and bowl. I know Vaughan said he'd have batted but do we believe him? Everyone thought it would do a bit to start off with. I'm not complaining so far though!

Great to see Strass come down the track and smack Warne over his head for 4. Didn't look like any turn for Warne, or bounce which is good for us. England have got to be very careful still, we mustn't get carried away with this good start. Keep playing solidly and positively...

Decent batting by the English... Still look a bit vaunerable but you can only critizise them for what they have done.

Not the start that Ponting was looking for.Warne 3-0-21-0. you would have got long odds on those figures.

We will know by the end of the test. I thought Ponting was foolish to bat first at Lords but they won in a canter. On this wicket, it was one of those tosses you kind of hope to lose really.

What a real shame, Strauss bowled by Warne for 48, a massive spinner into the rough outside off, dont think you can blame Strauss for that shot, Warne hasn't been spinning anything as much as that.
