So, what happens if Bell fails in England's second innings? Does he get the chop?

It seems England are good on first sessions on the first morning of the first day.. But after that fall apart!!

Tresco was in the zone but just lost concentration, Bell showed inexperience and Vaughan, well missed it but great!

That's why the Aussies are #1 and we're not. From 164-1 we should not be 187-4.

Yeah, I think he did play a line a little too straight for the delivery he got. He was slightly caught on the crease also, not getting forward enough. Bell is starting to worry me a little, he looks like he suffers a little bit of nerves against the best team currently in the world.

Vaughan has just hooked a skyer, caught at fine leg by Lee! Why play such a shot? It's opened up Flintoff and Geraint Jones, both could fall quickly and cheaply because of the nature of their play. Trescothick and Strauss will have the right to complain if such a good start is wasted. Flintoff should be coming to the crease 350-4 on this pitch after such a good start.

Warne looks in his element at the moment, this will be a crucial partnership between Flintoff and Pietersen, it will be interesting to see how they play Warne, or in Flintoff's case how he tries to play him!

Maybes, but I don't think you need to be the best team in the world to not play shots like Vaughan and Tres.

It's nice to see Warne giving Umpire Billy Bowden the respect he deserves.

Once again - not unlike at Lords, where his appeals were massively exaggerated - he's giving the umpires a hard time for not succumbing to his over-the-top appeals for catches off players' feet. It's not at all impressive!

Whatever happened to the good old softly spoken gentlemanly "How is he?"
