If he dies, then I think he will have done his job. With 30 balls from the other end, that would be 10 overs, and most of the first hour. If he lasts 30 balls and scores at 5 an over I'll be delighted! We need to negate Warne early on. I think he could actually be more dangerous against the lefties in this innings if the ball is turning as sharply as the one that did for Strauss last night. At least the right handers can use the pad more safely in defence if pie-man is coming round the wicket.

Sorry, I meant 'if he does'. I don't want Hoggy to die - well, not until he's about 85 years old. Thought I'd leave it in instead of edit it as it made me laugh.
'Are you ready to die for your country, Hoggard?'
'Aye, Sir'.

Tresco gone to a crap wide delivery by Lee, should really have been leaving the wide stuff at the moment.

And Vaughan has just been bowled to a fast full one from Lee. It was a good ball but Vaughan was way back on the crease and late on it. Vaughan has got to sort himself out.

Two wickets the Oz really shouldn't have got, not good.

How many times does Vaughan have to get bowled off stump by a length ball before he admits something is wrong with his defence?

I think though that Warne has made the English batsmen twitchy.

Bell in, I really want to see him knuckle down and concentrate here. I dont care if Hoggard scores none for a little while longer, just take some sting out of the opening overs as Australia's tail is up at the moment.

Over the past 18 months I have questioned Vaughans place ODI side. Give it a few more matches and questions will start to rise over his Test place.

Pietersen has just hit Warne for two sixes in an over. Bell looking calm and in control.

Looks like it's all down to KP and Bell then. I don't ever hold much hope of Freddie doing a job when England are in a heap of trouble, 95% of the time he seems to fail.

Another great display of 'how to chuck a game away' by England

as stated on a pevious thread, Vaughn needs to sort himself out
I'm thinking about dropping bell, vaugn drops down the batting order into 4th. bringing in Robert Key to take 3rd.

Something needs to be done, as realistically we need around 350 runs this innings to stand a good chance of winning the game and with wickets falling this quickly, i just can't see it happening
