We would never call him a judas under any circumstances! A judas is someone like pietersen who walks out on his country and then gets an english tattoo to prove to everyone how english he really is. pretty sad but thats life!

KP has an English mother apparently (true or not i don't know)but i can't argue against your feelings about him.He has done the same as Andrew Caddick did to New Zealand.Think of how you feel and then treble it for a South African.I am just grateful he is in our team and not against us.

In most cases - pretty badly. How is good old Kepler Wessels ?

All this is proving is that nationality is transient, which isn't a new phenomenon at all. Perhaps the authorities should consider enforcing a Yorkshire type born and bred rule - but I doubt it will ever happen.

You can have Craig White back as well.

Sensible thread.. but some curious conclusions.

First the positives: Langer and Katich are showing that they, not the ODI specialists who have thrived against lesser countries, are the proper basis for a Test team. Clarke and Bell are shining brightly as prospects, as is Pietersen. Flintoff's coming of age as a bowler.. Harmison's developing asa bowler with improved variations (including a great slower ball)... and Simon Jones is getting there in his good overs.

Oh, and Warne's a genius.

Second the negatives: Hayden's definitely being shown up as a fraud... and Gilchrist may be getting exposed as a fraud (perhaps slightly too soon to say, I've long had him penned in as such anyway); Tresco needs a brain between his ears; Strauss is no opener (too back-foot oriented to be facing the new ball); Lee is still not a genuine Test bowler (odd good spell, odd bad day); Gilchrist and Kasprowicz are completely out of form.

Martyn, Ponting and Vaughan have yet to shine; bit too son to pass judgement on Giles either.

I thought tresco did well in the second tst obviously, but was far more impressed with his second inning knock in the first test. Batted sensibly against an in form Mcgrath and saw off a new ball - which is what he's supposed to do. Harmison didnt take much in the second test but is starting to look a real class act. Hoggard needs to remember how to bowl at off stump, he's doing little for me at the monent. 2 good knocks by the big feller, but he's really doing it as a bowler for me at hte moment.

So how come you lost then ? I thought it was a pretty even handed impression from greg actually.

After two Tests what do we know davo, that England appear to be the better side.
I don't think McGrath would have made any difference at Edgbaston, he has never played well at that ground agaist England.

And if McGrath would have made a difference, it just proves that Astralia are a one man team, can't manage without McGrath.

Quiet right who would miss Glenn Mcgrath. As far as I am concerned he never has made a differnce. I don't know why the Australians bother picking him.
This is the only possible reply to such a statement.
