| Some of the Aussies appear to be jealous of us because we once had an Empire! This now means that there are Brits all across the Commonwealth. Should one of them maintain links to the UK, i.e. a British Passport they have every right to represent England at cricket once they've completed the qualifying period. Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan and the others are less likely to benefit from this system in the coming years. It's just a little advantage we have, we need little advantages as we have to put up with the far more negative aspect of our weather !! |

| Agreed N**** Exile (sorry I just couldn't type it - it should be enough that I agree!) And isn't our population far smaller than most of the other Test playing nations? We more than punch our weight!

We have a poulation larger than those of Australia, South Africa and New Zealand though I suspect each of those countries has more people participating in regular sporting activity. India and Pakistan are both far larger than the UK - India is about 16 times the size of the UK!! |
