We really could do with one of these two to press for a hundred. Vaughan looks most likely in my opinion, Australia have bowled well at the left-handers and Trescothick might have to stick at it for a while to get quicker runs. Runs just started to flow steadily before lunch and if England can see off McGrath again after lunch and then be watchful of Warne then it's going to be difficult for Australia to control the pace of the game. We need to be positive and press an advantage, this innings could give England so much momentum if we can get 450+.

McGrath just got taken for 11 off that last over. That'll really annoy him. I do not understand why Ponting started with Gillespie. It's beyond me.

Well done to Trescothick!!! Well played!!! Anyone still think he is going to be destroyed by the Aussies bowlers?

And me, going on the three bowlers that have bowled so this innings, if I were an English batsman I would be happy to see Gillepsie bowling after lunch, get some sighters in!

Gilchrist drops another one, and then Vaughan's stumps are cleared up on a no-ball. With God on our side, we should be OK for a while!

Anyone get the feeling luck is on our side today? Oh, and Gilchrist

Blimey, someone up there is smiling on us, but then at the same time, is it just slack discipline from the Aussies?

As I said before lunch, I Vaughan has to tighten up against McGrath in particular, he looks as though he's going to hit out at any moment again...
