No I always said if he can see off the new ball he'll be ok. But we 've seen a much more mature Tresco since the first innings of the first test. The second innings of the first test was on of the best I've seen him play, measured not many loose shots and was only done by a warne beauty. He's had some problems this moring but against an aussie attack you bloody well should do ! What he hasnt done is given his wicket away.

Good innings from Trescothick.

Gilchrist just dropped another one, that's two now. Whether this forum's posters are prepared to criticise Gilchrist in the manner they did Geraint Jones' keeping, remains to be seen, but these drops coudl be the most crucial of the series.

Next ball McGrath bowled Vaughan off a no-ball!

Boycott shouts "Ohhh! Bad luck you Aussies, it couldn't happen to a nicer people!"

Vaughan reaches his 50! Good innings! No, there was a scoring error! He will get there soon though hopefully! He's got it now and he had celebrated his 49!

Gilchrist has butter fingers today - makes a change!!

I thought Vaughan was out - went to the kitchen to make a cuppa, and was surprised to find him still in the middle when I returned!!! Nice one!!!

Tea I hope!

Thing was we quite clearly heard the call of no ball, then Slater shouts "He's out, bowled!!!!" When he wasn't. I love it when Boycott gets excited whenever England have a bit of luck.

Yes, tea of course!!! All I heard was Slater shouting he's out bowled...thought what a shame and left the room....that's the furthest I've been from my lounge all day!!!

Old Fiery loves misfortune happening to the Aussies. Gotta say, he's my favourite commentator; although he tends to bang on a bit, most of the time he's absolutely spot on.

MPV needs to calm down a bit against McGrath. Hopefully those let-offs are a wake-up call and he gets his head down and grinds out a ton.

I think they've sorted it out now, RBLC. Screwed up the reporting of the no-ball which splattered Vaughan's stumps, but now corrected. It's 125-1.
