Good point, Greg! It's an ill wind that blows no-one any good! Disappointing end to the morning for England, but we'll still be up around 450 at the end of the innings, which I don't think is too terrible if we take our chances in the field. Time for something to eat.

After 40-odd runs of Jones The Good, Jones The Numbskull makes an appearance. That's Jones, Flintoff and Pietersen who have got out playing stupid shots when they should have been batting out the session. This would drive you to drink.

Is now the time to refer all England fans to the first Test between New Zealand and Australia at Christchurch, New Zealand earlier this year?

New Zealand 433 all out.
Australia 432 all out.
New Zealand 131 all out.
Australia 135-1.

Hmmm. Some unintelligent shots played close to breaks. I shall continue to blame Pietersen and now I shall start to blame Flintoff. Though it is possible that our bowling attack is stronger than New Zealands.

However, we do need Hoggard to stop bowling dross. He has bowled in a similar vein to Gillespie so far in this series. If I was Australian I would cheer the thought of Hoggard opening the bowling.

Aw, Jones gone as well on the stroke of lunch, how infuriating. Aus could easily clear us up for 450 now, would love to see our tail wag to get us nearer 500.

It's hard to say how Aus will do batting, the pitch is great and we know Aus are capable of going past us at a great rate. But at the same time, our bowlers might do a good job to restrict them to less...

Stop despairing guys.We have got nearly 450 in the bank already. The pressure will be on the Aussies to do the same.If somebody had told us after the toss yesterday we would be 434-8 at lunch on day 2 we would have snatched their hand off.

You're probably right there Greg. it would have been nice to get to 500-550 but we're still not on for a bad score. Umpire Bucknor owes us a dodgy wicket too, so Langer out early on after playing and missing would do fine! If we hold our catches and bowl OK the Aussies will struggle to get much above us.
