Sorry I jinxed it, 438-9, and maybe I wasn't being harsh on Giles.

I would: I said 450 before we started today. 500 would have been great, but was always a stretch in my opinion.

Shouldnt have bben a stretch but with freddie and KP giving wickets away it was never going to be an option. If we get a draw and manage not to lose now I'll be over the moon

We will only know if 450 is a good score after the Aussies have batted. (do I get a medal for stating the bleeding obvious?) If the Aussies want to go for the win (as you'd expect them to) then the range I'd guess at is 250-450! Another good test developing here.

Good to see Harmy giving it some Harrow long handle!

I suppose at this stage every run is a bonus.

What a naff end to our innings, but we have the runs on the board and can now put pressure on the Aussies and see how well they cope.

All out. I really don't think this team has the mentality to make 500.

How annoying. There's a golden rule when playing Australia; if you have your foot on their throats DO NOT remove it until they stop breathing. We did.

All the middle order need a clip round the head. Giles can't play Warne at all; its embarassing to watch.

We need Harmison/Flintoff to bowl fast, short and nastily. I'm going to scream when Vaughan throws Hoggard the new ball. Its been my pet hate this series. Give it to Flintoff for the love of God.

Do you not think that as an all-rounder with past injury issues giving him the new ball could be a bit too much? Maybe they are still trying to protect him (although it didn't seem like it last Sunday!). Hoggard will be fresher having not batted today.
