Rain has stopped play at the moment Australia have avoided the follow-on. The weather is very frustrating, but I think Warne's aggressive batting is frustrating me further. He seems to get away with so much, hopefully we can get him soon after play resumes.

I don't know, but I bet the weather at Headingley is fine for cricket, has been for three days and will be for another two!

Unhappy

Or, more generally, because it is England, and that's what English weather does.

Play will re-start at 1810 for a maximum of six more overs. Now, I am always in favour of having cricket played if it can be, but six overs? I do wonder if this is under pressure from the ECB. So far, eight overs have been played today. Fewer than ten and all ticket holders are entitled to a 100% refund. Most have reportedly left the ground already. I wonder if play would have been re-started if there were no refund at stake. (A 50% refund will be paid as it is.) Of course, if England get the wickets this evening, then I'll stop whinging!

Extra time tomorrow and Monday: correction

Jonathan Agnew tells me that my earlier comments about extra time were wrong. Tomorrow and Monday are both extended by one hour, apparently, with the extra time coming at the end of the day. I can't tie that in to the regulations, but so be it. Start time remains at 1030BST. A total of 46 overs have now been lost from the game assuming that all the scheduled six are bowled this evening.
