163-7 Taibu 57*,must be frustrating for him to be in charge of such an inept bunch of players.Feel sorry for him as he is quite a good player.

He is good; and revels in these situations. Very rarely does Tatenda fail when called upon. If coming in at 4-15, usually he'll lead a fightback. The times that he struggles are when we've got a start; 4-110, or 4-80 odd in ODI's. I'm hoping for a T. Taibu century; that'll mark his name as the third best keeper in the world.

His technique has really improved as well. I saw him in the nets in the ODI series in Aus back in early 04, and he played alot of cross-batted strokes; a feature of his game in the early days. Lately, he's got the concentration and skill to grind out big scores; and, all with technically perfect drives.

Kumar Sangakkara is the name that sprung to mind as being better than Taibu.

I agree with Paoli; in terms of both keeping ability and batting ability, the best keepers are Gilchrist, Sangakkara and Taibu. Both McCullum and Kamran Akmal are very good keepers, but are young and still have some way to go with the bat. I have watched Kamran Akmal a lot, and he has seemed a better natural keeper than either of Gilchrist or Sangakkara.

I think he's a smashing lad, who's standing up and being counted amidst mediocrity. I too think he's just behind Gilchrist and Sanga on batting ability, but he's definitely up there. I'd like to have seen him included in the rest of the world squad.

I'd love to see him playing a higher standard week in week out. A county contract or in an Aussie state side would really bring on his game.

Still, who'd sign a Wicket -Keeper Batsman?
