2nd Test: Zimbabwe vs. New Zealand at Bulawayo, 15-19 August

http://www.cricinfo.com/db/NEW/LIVE/...19AUG2005.html That's a link to the match on Cricinfo.

Hoping to see a more spirited showing from the boys today, and at least 300 runs scored. Reports are that Dabengwa will get a baggy green today and that's good in my view, as he is quite a lusty hitter; but, a little like Freddie Flintoff, can hold down an innings. He also bowls useful left arm orthodox spin.

Zimbabwe team: (from) BRM Taylor, KM Dabengwa, DD Ebrahim, H Masakadza, CB Wishart, SV Carlisle, *+T Taibu, NB Mahwire, AG Cremer, CB Mpofu, HH Streak, NR Ferreira, AM Blignaut, AJ Ireland.

New Zealand team: (from) JAH Marshall, L Vincent, HJH Marshall, *SP Fleming, NJ Astle, SB Styris, +BB McCullum, DL Vettori, JEC Franklin, SE Bond, CS Martin, KD Mills, CD Cumming, JDP Oram, PJ Wiseman.

My preferred Zimbabwe team is: Taylor, Ebrahim, Masakadza, Wishart, Carlisle, Ferreira, Taibu, Dabengwa, Blignaut, Streak, Mahwire/Cremer; doubts are out on Neil Ferreira, but he could be the man to make a gritty 70 or possibly even a ton.

Please use this thread to talk about this test, due to start in about half an hour. Come on Zimbabwe!

Well Zimbabwe can't do any worse than the last match.Joking aside New Zealand will be looking to wrap this game up as quickly as they can.I predict another innings win for New Zealand but this time on day 3.
Zimbabwe won toss and elected to bat.

...And Dabengwa came in for Ferreira leaving the squad otherwise unchanged!?!?! The selectors ought to be sacked. Brendan Taylor; this is your life.

Carlisle out. Bond's bowling very full and when he bowls an inswinging yorker no Zimbabwean batsman has an answer to it.

143/7; not bad. Good innings from Wishy, but he needed to make a solid sixty. Tatenda Taibu is leading the way on 45 at the moment, batting with Blessing Mahwire. Wishy and Taylor sum up Zimbabwe at the moment; alot of talent, not enough concentration and nobody to help them.
