I've really had it with this world xi squad debate. I am now hoping all the deserving candidates pull out because of personal reasons (or whatever) and the ICC is forced play a really average side - presumably full of south africans just as they would wish. And then no one will bother to watch what happens in this series. And it will become one big flop. I hope I hope I hope I hope this happens.

Gibbs is the one where England can count themselves unlucky not to have Trescothick in there; but then again, so can Youhana, Fleming, Jayasuriya and Sarwan and Gayle (Despite the fact they haven't played for a while).

Ntini on the other hand is justified; he has had some brilliant performances over the past twelve months and is the one seamer in the world capable of bowling absolutely unplayable deliveries; something you need in a series like this.

Boucher's selection, as I've said a few times, is garbage. I'd have gone for Sangakkara, Taibu, McCullum and Kamran Akmal before Boucher.

Ntini has the ability to find something on a nothing track and bowled well against England last winter.I have no problem with his selection.

Vaas or Ntini

Well I'm surprised Vaas isnt in the team. He is a far more greater bowler than Ntini. I dont know what those selectors were thinking about

Leaving Vaas out was ridiculous. I can't believe a proper panel of ex-cricketers could come up with such rubbish.

Ntini is world class and I would have him in my world XI for sure. Maybe even with the Aussie team included:

Mcgrath
Ntini
Flintoff
S. Jones
Warne

These would probably be my choices, and too be honest that would be an unstoppable choice.

Question

Ntini is good no doubt, but Vaas is certainly a far greater and expierenced bowler than him. For xample look at the type of pitches he usually play in, and compare his performances with that of Ntini in similar conditions
