| Durham reject. Played only 2 games there. Bring him on. |

| I think that's a bif unfair. You're talking about a coach here that's been behind a team that's basically won every where in the world except Zimbabwe and Bangladesh were they haven't been. He's got to have done something right surely. Last edited by Zainub : 24-08-2005 at 12:49 PM. |

| He's hardly been tested as a Coach has he, lets be honest? He took over the job with Australia at their absolute peak. Now that he's under pressure he's coming out with a bunch of tripe and seems clueless about reverse swing. I think that speaks for itself. |

| Yes, and even throughout Australia's period at the top Buchanan has never totally convinced everyone. Chris Cairns (not Geoff Boycott!) has said that 'even my mother could lead this Australian side' and I would largely agree with that. Up until this Test series, Buchanan hasn't been massively challenged and he's had the luxury of managing a side with two of the greatest bowlers of all time. People like Bob Simpson, Allan Border and Steve Waugh have records that you can't argue with. I don't think Buchanan and Ponting's coaching and captaincy records are in that category yet. This article from the Guardian is very interesting. http://sport.guardian.co.uk/ashes200...553784,00.html |

| Unproven bowler? Tait took 65 domestic wickets last season. That's the second highest EVER and let's remember he plays on the batsmens paridise known as Adalaide. http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/aust...ayer/8076.html I'm not sure that he even will have a good debut, but then neither did McGrath or Warne. http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/aust...ry/141592.html http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/aust...ry/140258.html ![]()

| OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! I hate to see people get hurt, especially when it involves blood. OUCH! I hope that gentleman's in good health now. |

| Jeoff Lawason says of Tait http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/...nd/4180992.stm Quote:
Oh Zainub, he bloodied Langer.

| If he can get people that hurt without actually looking at them then I'm seriously concerned for the England players' well being. Strauss and Trescothick should consider having nuts soaked in milk - this improves concentration apparently. On reading the report I find that he's actually bloodied 3 people so far. Quote:

Look at Graeme Hick, great player at First Class Level, did practically nothing in the Test arena. Tait is unproven and will remain unproven until he has done it at the heighest level. And anyway, he may have been the Heighest wicket taker - but South Australia still finished second from bottom. |

| ff if he does not look where he is bowling, like James Anderson, then he will go for some. However James Anderson had a knack of plucking wickets out of the blue, even when bowling badly(like Caddick), so England need to play every ball on merit, because pace can be dangerous, if underestimated, Dev Malcolm was scoffed at, then took 9 south African wickets. Mind you Malcolm was better than people said.
