| My mate in Adelaide tells me that thousands of Aussie fans who were pre-registered have been sent invalid access codes for the priority sales websites - and he's one of them. So, short answer is that I am still waiting, and with the first four days of the Sydney test reportedly sold out already, I am not optimistic. Congratulations to Cricket Australia on creating a black market from nothing.

| There is a percentage being held back for release to the rest of the world later this month, which varies from match to match. Cricket Australia says that the percentage is higher than that which was reserved for Aussies during the last Ashes in England, but as the ECB did not operate any kind of discriminatory system based on residence (though admittedly some club members certainly will have had priority) I am not sure how they measure that. Basically, in England, as in Australia in 2002, all tickets available to the public were available to anyone with the cash to put up. In Australia this year, a large part of the publicly offered tickets are allocated as priority to Aussie residents, only coming back in to the general pot if they are not taken up in the very long (two weeks) priority period. Touts being what they are, I doubt any of the priority allocation will drop back in to the pot without passing through their grubby hands. I try to remain optimistic, but there is at least a chance that my savings will be invested in a TV and satellite dish rather than an air fare and hotel bills, and I am not happy at that chance, I'm afraid.

| That's true. But in fact the open market starts on 18 June and it is genuinely open - so there is actually nothing reserved for the English. In principle, everything could be snapped up by Aussies - the first one to get onto the website. Which I suppose was equally true in England. So that's fair then! So what is my problem exactly?

| Sorry, but I had a good try at getting tickets to any of the Ashes games and struck out when in England - and I see that this time around will be the same in Australia. Sorry was not interested in the 2,500 pound scalped tickets on offer at Lords. So I do not think that there is much difference to the ticket sales in England for the Ashes compared to that in Australia. But I have about 40 people after them for me in Australia - so I still have my fingers crossed (So I guess I am in a slightly better position than I was in for England) |

| No doubt hundreds of tickets will already be on sale on the blackmarket for ridiculous prices.Sad that the real fans end up being conned but i guess it is difficult to know that the person buying the ticket is a genuine fan or not. |
