After all the talk Giles is playing well - has stiffled the scoring and taken the wicket of Martyn.

I have noticed that Giles is bowling in an attacking mode, rather than defensive bowling.

Yes. I would guess he has bowled more balls round the wicket already today than he did in his last 10 tests

Well of to bed with me with the radio, up again in 2-1/2 hours.

Prediction Australia 320 -5/6 Ponting 100.

Hope KP is ok, don't want another tour like last time when simon Jones and Flintoff was injured, spoils a series.

Chappell remarked that Panesar probably has influenced Giles to attack more and his wicket resulted from giving the ball more air and the subsequent overspin produced enough bounce to force Martyn to late cut straight to Collingwood at first slip. Chappell reckons that Giles is a far more attacking bowler now than he was in last year's Ashes series.

KP has gone off the ground just before Tea after his knee took a big divot from the ground in similar fashion as Simon Jones last time at the Gabba. Difference is that Jones was at full pace as he tried to cut off a boundary. Substitute fieldsman is Ed Joyce.

The next session is key to England's chances in this match. If they can get Ponting and Hussey out before the close they should be able to mop up the tail before Lunch tomorrow. Restricting Australia to 4 sessions will be a good effort provided they keep the run-rate in check.

The weather is going to be fine and sunny for the remainder of the game so don't be surprised to see this match go to the fifth day.

Not to mention that Shane Warne has an average of 40 odd while Lee has one around 80 here at the Gabba

And as we all know England have problems with bowling our the tail, Mahmood with his pace and fuller length is just right for this job.

Tail enders jusr aren't bounced out these days.
