Now - I can't get TMS here as the BBC is only webcasting to the UK. The ABC has worldwide webcasting rights and made a big thing about it a while ago. But I've just trawled all over their website to find a link to the webstream and it's jolly well hidden!
If you click on the news story about the ashes there is an audio link in the top left hand corner- I think that's it anyway.

Monty

I think Monty would have done well, he did well against the great Pakistan middle order in summer who are top draw players of spin. Giles has lost his bottle before which im sure the aussies know and I reckon they will try and hit him out of the attack him and his lack of match practice will only help the aussies
I dont like fletcher going for bits and pieces players Australia would pick there best spinner as would the likes of India and Pakistan

I think it does not matter which finger spinner England have at the Gabba, Fletcher will have thought IMO that Giles will be a beter batting bat upwith people new like Cook in the side.

So Australia win the toss, and both teams have gone safe...

Giles wins over Monty and Clark wins over Johnson

As expected the Aussies have opted to bat..

Well there's been more pomp and hype in the ceremony preceding play than the Queen's ordination.
Let's go people!!

England'll have to deal with Warne on a last day GABBA pitch now.

To be honest FF - if I had been Flintoff I would have been gld to have lost the toss, best time to bowl first couple of hours on day one.

Apparently it's a greenish surface, so may give the England bowlers something first up...

Here we go, final team talk, and then we are away, Umpires are on the field... the last ten mins have taken ages!!!

What's the record for the most posts in one thread in a day.. we could beat it here I recon

There off with Harmison bowling the first over, his first delivery, rather than Hoggard.

Harmison bowls a horrible wide to Flintoff at slip .
2nd ball down legside.

Harmison gets the new ball, first sent down to first slip and the second down leg side.

Fantastic start!
