Anderson bowls not a very disinguished first over, lacks pace at the moment.

No swing for Hoggard, but at least he is accurate, poor bowling.

Fantastic start!
It remains to be seen how significant the first two balls of the series turn out to be in the end. I am sure it took a lot of pressure off the opening batsmen.

Right I am off to bed, as planned, been a throughly depressing half hour, but I am hopeful things will look up once I have started dreaming!!

The good news for England is, I am a jinx. Wickets happen when I am go to the loo, great stands occur when I am in meetings or at church. When I watch Rugby live Quinns lose, when I am not there they win. So England will find their luck changes the moment I switch off, no doubt...

Well done Harmison for handing the initiative to the Aussies.PLANK.

No swing at all for Hoggard but at least he is fairly accurate.

Pitch looks good to bat on when the bowling is so poor.

If the first 5 overs are anything to go by, it confirms my belief that the series is heading for a one-sided affair in favour of Australia. Imagine the captain having to take-off his main strike bowler after the first two overs of a series! There can only be one result from here.

I agree with that but there is a long way to go.

P.S. Send Harmison home now if that is the best he has to offer.
