Yes but Underwood has gone, England have no decen off spinners or leggies, so SLA is what England have.

Panesar could well turn out to be good, but he will have to flight the ball more, Giles is right for this match, maybe on a turner Giles and Panesar and drop Harmison.

Panesar is not known yet, only time will tell.

I think they will both play at Adelaide and Sydney.

Judging by the way Ponting made that pull shot off Hoggard, I will not be surprised to see Ponting make a big hundred.

Probably right - but still a huge gamble, nothing wrong with Panesar, but he should not have to cover for Harmison.

Yes with an average in the high 50's like he is, he's not just good but great.
Talking of greats I am enjoying listening to Thommo, croaky voice or not.

The ball is now 38 overs old and not reversing. The outfield is lush and maintaining the ball in good condition. If it does eventually reverse Flintoff is probably the guy who'll be first to get it to reverse. I'm predicting Australia will get 400+ in the first innings unless something extraordinary happens. It's a batsman's paradise out there.

Ponting has just got a well deserved 50, he really is batting well, England need to remove him soon, or it could be well over 400.

Martyn out - I hope that means he will be dropped now - not my favourite player. Lets see what Hussy has to offer
