| I'm off to Côtes de Armour in Northern France with my bucket and spade and plastic bat and ball in a vain attempt to teach them 'french people' beach cricket.i'll also be practicing my Pentanque. I remember many happy days playing beach cricket at the sea side. If you hit the surf it was out, but you got 4 if it bounced before and six if it didn't; one bounce one hand for catches, three players (or occassionally 6 if the whole family chipped in). Ah. Ice creams all round afterwards and sand flavoured sanwiches. The afternoons were always filled with beachcoming exercises or rock pool exploring whilst mum and dad went off 'for a lie down' now I know where my third brother came from!)or to the pub etc.Although as we grew older beach coming became a very different 'sport'/excuse(totty spotting on the beach). Happy days. Exotic? Na, its like someone from England going to Blackpool or Margate. I live in France and the last exotic place I visited was................. England!

Beach cricket, sounds good,I will have a bash with my youngest daughter, who appeared 17 years after the eldest. Must be nice living in france with all that lovely plonk,Rhone reds are my tipple.

| Bravo accepts applause at Royal Albert Hall I shall be taking ONE day off tomorrow the 19th August. I will queuing early on outside the aforementioned venue for an arena ticket to watch a nineteenth century opera. Possibly not an ideal use of ones day off... seeing as how it's the first day of the Oval Test... but I like Wagner too. I shall listen out for further mentions of Dwayne Bravo's name. I didn't know he was such a talented and internationally recognised musician.
