Google Earth

If you have Google Earth I'd be intersted in getting the compass directions to some cricket stadia in your country. Here are some I found:

M.C.G. -37.8199470023, 144.983565617
Adelaide Oval -34.9152880555, 138.596028235
The Gabba -27.4858163363, 153.037902327
W.A.C.A. -31.9598299876, 115.879396593
S.C.G. -33.8915444839, 151.2246287
Lord's 51.5295106184, -0.172558528001
The Brit Oval 51.4839324726, -0.114766281213

To find them, click the Fly To button, then copy and paste the numbers into the search field and click the Search button.

"Chester-le-street Cricket Ground" 54.8494172929, -1.56079056412 (Also, look for Lumley Castle, the place that spooked Shane Watson, to the southeast).

Thanks Colly. bbs.keyhole.com is the Google Earth community forum and I discovered that members create placemark files which are downloadable. Someone has already done a terrific job in compiling the locations of all Test grounds and quite a few club grounds too. Click here to download his placemark file. Put it in your Google Earth folder. He has included descriptions of each ground but some of them are out of date and I'd check the cricinfo grounds section to update his descriptions. Try searching Google Images for recent images of the ground if you want to update his descriptions.
