twenty/20 You may have noticed my first replies were a bit of a nightmare, not used to forums, so will apologise for that.
Am trying to gauge others opinions about 20/20.
I think it is a game that is totally against the traditional values of cricket and is a very americanised version of our great game. I think its introduction as stated by the ECB is to attract the youth of our society to rekindle their interest into the game of cricket. I also believe that the game is trying to break into the american market, with many aspects of american sports being portrayed in the game. Is it everones attention spans nowadays are so much shorter than our predecessors that we can only handle 3 hours or so of cricket?
I think the game has its good points, it starts in the evenings so people can attend a full contest after there work has finished, and schools are finished. I think it is an easy format to understand and spectate and also think it is a good way for young people to learn the game as there is not as many technical rules and it is a nice short form of the ga
