Favourite song of all time

Only one.

What would it be.

I'll say mine later when I get the chance to think.

That's cheating Paoli

Mine would be - Every Breath You Take by Police.

Shame it was ruined by Puff Daddy or whatever he wants to be called today.

Either 'Sweet Dreams' by Eurythmics (even better when played live with plenty of electric guitars)

or 'Teardrop' by Massive Attack, never, ever fails to send a shiver down my spine!

Some of them want to use you, some of them want to be used by you...

Impressed with the choices so far...

Blimey, these sorts of things are always a tough call.

I am the resurrection - Stone Roses, but on even given day it could be another one entirly. Today though, its the Stone Roses.

After considering Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" from his "Time Out" album... and McCartney's "Hey Jude"... and at least half a dozen Mark Knopfler tracks (a tough call as to which one: perhaps Sailing to Philadelphia rather than Telegraph Road, Going Home, The Trawlerman's Song or his "All the Roadrunning" with Emmylou Harris)... and the obvious selections from Sinatra through Sting / Kate Bush / Queen to Brad Paisley's recent "Whiskey Lullaby" (with Alison Krauss)... I might just settle on Garth Brooks' fantastic "Friends in Low Places" :-)

Definitely "On and On" by the Longpigs. Absolutely stunning song.

Mind you, most of the other songs mentioned here are classics; especially "Teardrops" and "I am the Resurrection". I always preferred "Unsquare Dance" to "Take Five" by Dave Brubeck, but its a classic track nevertheless.
