British Empire Teachings

Hey guys,

Just doing a bit of reasearch for a history assignment here, to do with the British Empire. Of course, it was dubbed that the sun never set on the British Empire.

Now can I just ask for those of you who went to school when the empire was, well...not entirely at its zenith in terms of power and prestige, but still quite a mighty force and had rule over those countries, were you shown a globe of the world with British Territories coloured differently?

And do you think you were presented with a blinkered view of the world's history for that reason?

Cheers for helping out.
