How did you spend your New Year?

Let's get away from all the England woes (or Australian joy) and sit by the fire with your pipe and slippers and have a chill

What did you do New Years?

I got totally wrecked (a la Flintoff, Pietersen, Vaughan et al in 2005). threw up on the pavement, and passed out in bed. First time I've really been bothered about New Years, really.

Surely that's the best place to pass out!

As for me, I saw in the new year with my girlfriend in front of the telly...first time in a few years I haven't gone out to celebrate! But then it would have been a very damp squib of an evening anyway.

Great Silvester concert in Munich on 31/12, Mozart Concerto for Flute and Harp and Beethoven 9th Symphony; dinner in the Paulaner Gasthaus with a glass or two of shandy to wash it down, in bed by 2310 and asleep by about 2312! Drove back to Prague in pouring rain on New Year's morning.

I felt rough so went to bed at 10 to make sure i was ok for the match yesterday afternoon.Doesn't sound good going on the radio with a cold.Fortunately it worked, only drawback was i slept so long i couldn't sleep last night so sat up watching the cricket most of the night.
