I’ve obviously not heard it nor will I do so in future, but dear oh dear, I’m starting to realize now just how rapidly my dislike for cricketers turning to the entertainment industry for some cheap cash is growing! First you had Phil Tufnell in that celebrity reality show, then another two former English have-been type cricketers in Gough and Ramprakash taking up dancing, and now, following the news a couple of days ago about the previously normal Mark Butcher also taking up singing for another reality show called Just The Two Of Us, and now this Brett Lee news. If anyone's mentioning Brett Lee at college now, I'll pretend I don't follow cricket. This is getting embarrassing.

I think fair do's to Butcher, he's been pursuing a semi-pro singing career for some time now. He's cut a few tracks, done a fund raising single for Ben Hollioake and usually has a band playing at all the PCA awards dinners.

Horror of horrors, it would appear that Sarah Brightman has fallen for him as a result of that show!

Mark Butcher isn't a great singer, as was shown by the only bit of Just the Two of Us that I tuned in to, when he sung Music of the Night. It was all over the place, and SB was obviously singing at about 40% so she didn't completely drown him out.

Actually not bad singing - terrible lyrics though!

ETA: Some of those comments on the video are hilarious. And offensive...
